SPEED READING – THIS SKILL GAVE ME WINGS

One of the most important skills I learned right from my first year of college is not a specific subject, but speed reading.   At that time, I had to read hundreds of pages of books every week for my college classes. If you read every word in the traditional way, you really don’t have enough time to complete all the exercises, readings, and learning goals you set for yourself.   Since I started applying speed reading seriously and properly, I realized that reading faster is not simply about saving time. More importantly, it gives me space to process, analyze and connect the information I just read.   I read with more focus, knowing what main ideas need to be kept and what details can be skipped. Thanks to that, I no longer fall into the situation of having just finished reading a line and forgetting what I just

A DOCTOR’S FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE OF BEING AN MC IN THE US

I have never been an MC. And the first time… was in front of the entire Vietnamese community of the parish.   When I was invited, I hesitated. Not because I’m busy. No hosting experience.   But then, another feeling appeared — slight, but very clear: “This is my community.”   And I accepted. Not because of confidence. But because I want to help.   After accepting the invitation, I started learning… to be an MC – Sit down and write each quote for each performance. – Learn from the MC who co-hosts with you – where to stand, what part to say first, what to say,… – Go to the organizing committee meeting, listen to people talk about the stage, sound, ao dai, and program order.

9 THINGS AMERICANS ALWAYS DO TO NOT STAND IN THE SAME PLACE IN THEIR CAREER

9 things Americans always do to avoid stagnation in their careers — that you can do well today. (What I learned after more than 20 years in America).   Many Vietnamese people in America do very well. Hardworking, responsible, no complaints. But as the years passed, the position and opportunities remained roughly the same. Not because it’s bad.   But because no one has pointed out the “hidden rules” of the working environment here. If you don’t want to continue standing still in 2026, don’t forget these 9 things.   These things cost nothing. No additional qualifications are needed either.   But if you do it regularly, your promotion speed in a few years will be completely different.   1. Don’t just do well — let the right people see you do well   In America, if the decision makers don’t see your results, it’s almost non-existent. Doing
