“DON’T LISTEN TO THE CHICKENS. IT’S NOT EASY.”

That’s right. Becoming a doctor in America is not an easy task.   When I entered medical school in America, I got a huge shock. I realized that everyone in my class is good, and what’s even scarier is that everyone works hard!   In the past, my success in college and lower grades was due to hard work. I always tell myself that “Be diligent and smart” so I always try to do my best. However, what to do when you are already good and still working hard?   And scores in the medical field are compared based on overall academic performance, for example – if more than 50% of the class gets 80%, then 80% will be average, and if you get 79% then you will be below average!   So I felt a lot of pressure.   Not only that, you also have the support of

99% OF PEOPLE SKIP THIS AND REGRET IT LATER…

You are a Vietnamese doctor with a dream in your heart of becoming doctor in America. You embark on conquering the first challenge of this journey – the USMLE step 1 exam. Every day, you diligently read books, watch videos, and take Uworld questions, but you feel like what you learned is just a drop in the vast ocean of knowledge on the test. “Is this enough for me to study? Will I get anywhere?” You wonder, filled with confusion.   Not only that, you also face a bigger problem: learning then forgetting, learning later and forgetting first. Every time you open a book, you feel like you’re running in circles, new knowledge piling up while what you learned before gradually fades away. Your belief in yourself begins to waver, and there are nights when you just want to give up, wondering if you’re really strong enough to pass

THE WAVE OF EARLY RETIREMENT OF DOCTORS IN THE US

SPENDING MONEY TO BUY A LOT OF EXPENSIVE STUDY MATERIALS THAT WILL NOT HELP YOU PASS USMLE STEP 1

This may be controversial, but… …spending money to buy a lot of expensive study materials will not help you pass the exam USMLE step 1.   Let me tell you my USMLE study story.   Previously when I was studying for the USMLE exam, I spent money to buy a lot of Question Banks – Kaplan, Uworld, Amboss, and all the study programs – Pathoma, Kaplan, Picmonic, Sketchy, and study tools – Anki, Quizlet. But I still always feel insecure. Insecure because I feel like the amount of knowledge is too huge – I can’t finish studying, I forget what I learned later, I spend a lot of time studying, but I still type the questions wrong and the test results are still low. I’m always worried that my time is running out and I haven’t finished studying yet. What if I fail the exam? I feel like I’m
