You are a Vietnamese doctor with a dream in your heart of becoming doctor in America. You embark on conquering the first challenge of this journey – the USMLE step 1 exam. Every day, you diligently read books, watch videos, and take Uworld questions, but you feel like what you learned is just a drop in the vast ocean of knowledge on the test. “Is this enough for me to study? Will I get anywhere?” You wonder, filled with confusion.
Not only that, you also face a bigger problem: learning then forgetting, learning later and forgetting first. Every time you open a book, you feel like you’re running in circles, new knowledge piling up while what you learned before gradually fades away. Your belief in yourself begins to waver, and there are nights when you just want to give up, wondering if you’re really strong enough to pass this tough exam.
In times of confusion, you try looking for study tips, tips and tricks, hoping for a magical way to help you learn quickly. You try things like learning the concepts of “high yields,” memorizing “keywords” to find the correct answer.” But you quickly realize that these tips only help you “guess” the answer without really understanding the concept, making knowledge even more fragmented.
If you’ve ever had these feelings, believe me, you’re not the only one. Many medical students and doctors studying for the USMLE exam have also been like that. Me too. And so are the students and doctors who come to me for advice.
But what helped me succeed was changing my strategy. From studying in a vague and unclear way, I decided to follow a clear path, with specific strategies for each stage, so that I know exactly where I am, what I need, and what to do for the next step.
This strategy not only brought me success, but also helped students in my program “1:1 Coaching – Become a Doctor in America” pass USMLE step 1 the first time.
If you want a shortcut, then this strategy will not be suitable for you.
But if you want to have a solid foundation of medical knowledge, so that you can not only confidently conquer the USMLE Step 1, USMLE Step 2 CK, USMLE Step 3 exams, but also confidently work as a doctor in the US, then this is what you need.
If you are serious about becoming a doctor in the US and want a strategy that will lead you to success, send a message to your inbox for advice!
