Phoenix Academy – the story behind its name.
It’s been a long time since I talked to you.
You shared about your work and future plans.
You asked me what I will do next year?
I said that in 2023 my biggest goal is to develop The Phoenix Medical Academy (Phoenix Academy).
I ask again:
1. What does your Phoenix Academy do?
I suddenly realized that perhaps I haven’t said much about this brainchild.
So today I want to tell everyone about Phuong Academy Hoang.
The story is that at the end of 2019, when my career was firmly established in the US, I still felt like something was missing and I decided to connect with the community of brothers, sisters, and friends. colleagues and Vietnamese medical students.
And since then, I have heard more and understood more.
I heard stories about…
- SHE is an infectious disease doctor with a passion for learning, but because she grew up in a small town, she did not have an effective environment to learn English.
- EM is a doctor with a strong desire to conquer new areas, but a lack of confidence in communicating in English has closed many doors of opportunity for her.
- ANH is a doctor who works for a foreign company but does not dare to take the opportunity to advance because he is still self-conscious about his foreign language skills
- EM is a doctor who wishes to continue practicing as a doctor in the US but is struggling to integrate into the medical environment in the US.
- EM is an internal medicine doctor. residing in the US with a heart of love and dedication to patients, but there are days when I feel angry and cry because patients misunderstand me.
- EM is a doctor passionate about Traditional Medicine with the dream of bringing Traditional Medicine to many people around the world and to do that, I need English.
And many more stories…
In every story I see a part of myself.
And I want to do something so that my brothers, sisters, friends, and children can have the confidence and skills necessary to conquer their dreams.
After much consideration, Phoenix Academy was born.

2. Why did I choose the name Phuong Hoang?
According to legend, Phoenix tears can heal all wounds. Likewise, a doctor with compassion can ease the mental and physical pain of the patient, and always knows how to treat others tactfully to spread positive energy.
Phoenix also has the ability to revive, with each resurrection becoming more beautiful, stronger, and more excellent. The medical career path is arduous and difficult, many times making doctors want to give up. Only those who truly dare to bravely transform themselves can succeed.
Phoenix is also a symbol of integrity and virtue. A Phoenix doctor is a person who lives with integrity, always lives and works with conscience, and respects himself and others.

Not only that, the Phoenix also symbolizes wisdom and wise. A doctor always needs to study to constantly develop himself.
And finally, the Phoenix is the bird of vision, of hope. When others see difficulties, Phuong Hoang sees opportunities.
Doctor Phuong Hoang not only lives for himself, but is also someone who always looks far ahead, dares to venture into new areas, and thereby leads future generations.
And that is the story of Phoenix Academy, a place that gives wings to Vietnamese doctors to conquer their dreams.
