HOW WILL PRESIDENT TRUMP’S NEW IMMIGRATION POLICY AFFECT VIETNAMESE DOCTORS?

As we know, since taking office on January 20, President Donald Trump has issued a series of executive orders related to immigration.

In particular, he is very strict with illegal immigrants. The evidence is that there are many raids across states in the United States, and many consecutive meetings with the governments of relevant countries to “mass deportation” these people.

So how will this affect What is the path for Vietnamese doctors to go to the US to become a doctor?

First, we must confirm the path to becoming a doctor in Vietnam. America is completely legal and official, and therefore, when following this path, you do not need to worry about his review or investigation.

Slow down a bit, when you hear and understand more about Trump’s views, this is something that any government of any country if in his situation would do the same.

How can you sit still when you see Illegal immigrants entering our country in huge numbers – Not only do they cause social disorder and safety, increase crime rates, but they also use the services, Government supports, and social policies that people work hard and pay taxes to get?

These hard-earned money is used for people who come from nowhere, not only threatening daily security but also takes away their job opportunities. Any patriotic person wants this situation to be immediately changed, reformed and rectified.

Next, besides tightening illegal immigration, the Trump administration also has policies to attract talents from all over the world to the US to work and contribute.

Typical among those policies is the expansion of the H-1B Visa settlement program (immigration program for people coming to the US with skills and expertise in a certain field, including Vietnamese doctors).

After you complete your medical residency, you will apply to participate in the H-1B program. From the H-1B VISA, you will be eligible to apply for a green card. Finally, after waiting a certain amount of time, you will be eligible to take the US citizenship test and sponsor other family members.

In short, the H-1B and the path to the US to work as a doctor are completely legal paths, not only not affected by the raids but are also being expanded, encouraged and facilitated.

When asked about this policy, President Trump said:

“I didn’t change my mind on H-1B visas. I’ve always felt we have to have the most competent people in our country. We need smart people in our country. We need a lot of people coming in. We’re going to have jobs like never before before.”

(I have always been steadfast in my opinion about the H-1B VISA. I always want our America to be a destination for the most talented people. We need smart and talented people like them to come here and contribute. A society with jobs for such people will come true in the future. hybrid.)

One more fact is that when looking at the data during his previous term – the 2016 – 2020 term, the number of foreigners who successfully became doctors in the US not only did not decrease but also recorded a slight increase. This is the most visible evidence of his policy of meritocracy.

Therefore, if you want to become a doctor in the US, the President’s tightening of deportation of illegal immigrants and expansion of the H-1B policy is also good news for talented people who want to come to the US to work and contribute.

Family Doctor in the U.S.

Years ago, when I sat down to write my application essay for the Bill Gates scholarship, I wrote about the dream of becoming a doctor who could help people across languages and cultures. That journey eventually led me to practice family medicine in the United States and to build The Phoenix Medical Academy — so students and immigrant families can find clearer guidance on studying medicine, residency, and life in America.
