3 THINGS I WISH I KNEW EARLIER TO HAVE A HAPPY LIFE
This article is quite special because I just turned a new age, through which I also had the opportunity to reflect and realize three things that I wish someone had told me before or that I had realized sooner. more.
Therefore, I want to share these 3 things with you in the hope that these things will be of some help to you in life.
1. DON’T BE AFRAID OF FAILURE
I must say that from childhood to adulthood, I have rarely failed and since I was young, when I went to school, my parents always wanted me to be a good student and always top the class. And I always have a pressure I put on myself that I should never fail.
And that is why, when I experience failure and when I do not achieve what I want in life, it is a huge mental shock for me and I have fallen into days when I felt very depressed.
>
I also have days when I have very negative thoughts about myself. If I do something wrong, if I don’t achieve a goal I set, I think I’m a failure, I’m a useless person, I can’t do anything
>
And those thoughts paralyze me and I can’t do anything. I also had to spend a lot of time to overcome the times when I was depressed like that. Only now, when I look back, I realize that failure is truly an important part of life.
We must have failures to appreciate our successes, and thanks to those failures, we can learn valuable lessons as well as know where our limits are, what we need to do, and how we need to change to be better in the future. hybrid.
And thanks to those failures, the times I stood up after failure, I learned how strong and resilient my best friend is.
2. BE STRONG IN FAITH
I remember when I was still studying Medicine, family members often told my mother, “Oh! She’s studying Medicine today, and then she will work, she has money, she helps me like this and that”.
At that time, I was okay, but in my heart, my real feeling was that I didn’t think I had any feeling that I was a doctor and I also didn’t know where my future would go even though I was studying medicine at that time.
Because, in reality, when I was studying medicine like that, I felt like the road was so long that I couldn’t finish studying forever, I kept studying forever. forever.
In the morning, I go to class and do surgery, then in the afternoon, when I come home, I sit down and read a book and study, all with very dry information. At that time, I had not done clinical work nor had I had contact with many patients, and I felt that my life at that time was not like the life of a doctor at all. I don’t know if I can become a doctor or not.
But then it’s all over and now I can do the job I love, which is being a doctor in America and doing many useful things in life for others as well as giving my family a full and good life.
Now that I think back, I see that in life everything will be possible. There will be times when we feel like we don’t know if what we’re doing is right or not, whether the effort we put in will have any results or not? Surely there will be times when you feel like your friend is so depressed.
But just like a farmer who works hard sowing and fertilizing day after day without seeing any results, as long as he continues to persevere, there will be a day when the rice fields will ripen. But I firmly believe that if we try persistently, persevere, and go in the right direction, one day we will surely succeed.
3. DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF WITH OTHERS
When I was young, I often went to school and I saw my friends whose parents gave them this and that, new clothes, and I was often jealous. I often compare myself with them, I often think:
“Oh, why don’t my parents give me those things? Why can’t my family be like their family?”
And when I grew up, I also had thoughts of comparing myself and seeing that many of my classmates were prettier than me, had more friends than I had, many of them had higher grades than me, received more scholarships, had more achievements than me.
And at that time I thought back to myself that I wasn’t like that and I felt sorry for myself, I thought that I’m inferior.
And later, when I became a doctor, I still had thoughts of comparing myself to others. You see, there are doctors who specialize in this field and other fields. And we always have comparisons, we feel
“Oh! Why are we both doctors but my salary is not as high as their salary? Or I don’t have as many achievements as them”.
Those comparisons make me feel very heavy and tired. tired.
And then I realized that the cycle of life will continue forever unless we decide to give up anger and ignorance and be satisfied with what we have.
Of course, in life we need to always strive to improve, we need to always try to improve ourselves day by day, but do those things with a peaceful mind instead of running after endless races. Only then can we be happy in life.
These are three things that I have realized from experiences in life that I wish I had known before. Have you ever had such experiences? If so, please comment below.
